Welcome to Mary Elizabeth Child Care & Preschool!

Our nonprofit organization serves the greater Sioux City, Iowa area by providing quality care for children between the ages of two and ten years old. We strive to make our child care as affordable as possible to families in need.

A child’s earliest years are the most important to their future happiness. In addition to keeping kids safe, our team of child care professionals treasures every opportunity we have to help children grow and flourish. We create a warm, nurturing environment where children play, refine their social skills among their peers, and receive guidance and education from passionate teachers.

We are the state of Iowa’s oldest child care center that is still in its original building. Our original facility was nothing more than a circus tent, which was set up in 1914 and run by volunteers. Thanks to the generous support of our community, we quickly grew to become a respected program in our community that is staffed by qualified child care professionals.
